    Meg Ball Thomas

Meg Ball-Thomas is a Doctor in Optometry and a Rotarian for the past eleven years. She is going to do a vocational talk on "aging and the eye."

Dan proposed Meg to the club in 1994. She states "I didn't really know much about Rotary but wanted to get involved with the community." And that she did. She quickly got involved in Rotary with many club projects and supported eye care trips to several underdeveloped countries. In 1999 she became the club's secretary, got married (husband Steve) and the year after became president of the club (2000- 2001). While president, Meg carried her son Ethan to term.

Meg is owner and partner at the Eye Associates of Winter Park specializing in family eye care. She completed her studies in optometry as a Doctor from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and she worked at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami known as the "John Hopkins of the South," in all aspects of the Institute.
