    Hank Lander

World Champions - The Boston Red Sox!

Hank, a native of Salem, Mass and an avid fan bragged endlessly about his favorite team. A gruaduate of Bentley College in Waltham (where he met his lifetime sweetheart, Suzanne) with a BS in Marketing & Management, he went on to work with his dad for six years and build a large telecommunication business. Hank says "we worked by my father's motto - Just Do It! I can honestly say my father was my mentor."

Hank and Suzanne and daughter Jessica moved south in 1991 and after working for two telecommunication companies locally he decided to be the entrepreneur he always wanted to be. Hank opened Communication Solutions (1999) to "enhance and improve the way people communicate."

In 2000, former Casselberry mayor, Bruce Provonost sponsored Hank to the Rotary Club of Casselberry. He says "Rotary has been one of the most rewarding experiences...each week, I eagerly look forward to share a Rotary Minute with club members."

From 2003-2004, Hank led the club as President having been recognized as Rotarian of the Year by President Carlos and recognized by Rotary International with the Four Avenues of Service Award. He is a Paul Harris Fellow (awarded to him by the club), serves as director, Interact coordinator (Lyman H.S.) and is totally involved with all of the club activities in one shape or form.

Hank and Suzanne are now bridging the next phase in their lives as their daughter graduates from high school and goes to college. Hank has been her coach for most of her growing years and says "coaching my daughter and her team mates was one of the best activities in my life."

Casselberry's International Folk Festival - Presented by Hank, Event Chair
    Folk Festival

Hank states, the Folk Festival will be “a day of celebration and sharing of the world’s Art and Culture, Dance and Music, Food and Drinks. Bringing together our diverse community to advance international understanding, goodwill, and peace through world fellowship.” Also, he adds “it will be an opportunity for the Rotary Club of Casselberry to develop a major community showcase event with tremendous fundraising potential. $40-50k in funds can be raised for a new playground as part of the cities redevelopment." Plans are in the making for the festival to be held in the spring of 2006, on a Saturday in April or May at the City of Casselberry's Hall Campus.

Can we pull it off next Spring? Let Hank give you "the skinny" and be ready with your questions.
