Spotlight: Gil Rolon |
 |
|
Gil is a second generation descendant of
Puerto Rican parents, born and raised in
Jersey City NJ. After graduating from Ferris
High he spent the next twenty years working
for a drug store with the last fifteen years
as its manager. He then switched career paths
when he joined Summit Bank in 1998 as Assistant
Bank Manager and eventually became the branch
manager two years later.
Gil and wife Maria have five children -
four daughters and one son. They only have
one daughter in their household who will
be graduating high school soon.
Gil came to Florida in July of 2003 and
started working for R-G Crown Bank as a sale
associate. I am now the Financial Center
manager in the Casselberry office. A year
ago, he joined the Rotary Club of Casselberry.
He states "I joined Rotary to learn more
about what I could do to give something back
to the community. Carlos was my sponsor." Since
joining, he has been involved in Paint Your
Heart Out (he has participated in the Spring
and just last Saturday), rang the bell at
Sams club for the Salvation Army last December
and he is also a member of the board of directors.

Our
presenter this week: Bud Hedinger, Talk
Show host at WFLF |
|
|
Bud Hedinger is a radio talk show which
airs between The Rush Limbaugh Show and
The Dr. Laura Schlessinger Program on 540
AM (WFLF) in Orlando, Florida. He is known
as a right wing Republican who according
to the Sentinel, "demonstrates his passion
for George W. Bush through songs like 'God
Bless Our President,'" which he sings on
the air during his radio show.
In contrast with his fervor for Bush,
on the website for his radio show, Hedinger
asserts disdain for Senator Hillary Clinton,
whom he calls "Hanoi Hillary." "THE BUDMAN
URGES YOU TO PROTEST! HILLARY BLASTS BUSH
IN ARAB PRESS INTERVIEW
It should be an interesting talk. Most
wanted from the audience: "Hot" and "topical" questions
without a political bent (tongue-in-cheek).
