    Tom McElroy

I was born on Staten Island, NY, moved to Casselberry when I was 13 yrs old. I lived in Casselberry 27 years before moving to Winter Springs in 2000.

I was among the first graduating class of the newly built Lake Howell High School, which has since been demolished, due to poor construction, and rebuilt. I enlisted in the Army after HS, trained to be a medical corpsman, earned my EMT license at Austin Peay State Univ in Nashville, TN.

Three years later came back home, graduated from SCC and then UCF with a bachelors in Business admin. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother, all living here in Seminole county.

My dad was a member of the Rotary Club of Casselberry for a few years, both he and I were sponsored by Lou Guglielmello although many years apart. I chose to join for the business contacts, but I have stayed for the community, the fellowship and the great feelings I get inside when I see all of the good that our club does for others in need. I have been mostly involved in the community service side of our club.

I have been a real estate broker for 10 years, owning my own company, Real Estate Consulting Group. I am happily married for 7 years to my beautiful bride Valerie, and have 3 loving dogs; Sasha, Rascal and Anna Belle. Our hobbies are motorcycling, diving and our dogs. I just celebrated my 8th anniversary in Rotary and look forward to many more years of community service and the fellowship of my Rotarian family.

Bob Nettles, AVP for Federal Trust Bank will be inducted this week

Bob Nettles, a Rotarian for the past three years at the Rotary Club of Winter Park and new branch manager of the Federal Trust Bank on S.R. 436 will be inducted this Wednesday. Bob's classification will be Commercial Banker.

Let's all welcome Bob to the Rotary Club of Casselberry family!!!

Armistice Day officially became a holiday in the United States in 1926, and a national holiday 12 years later. On June 1, 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all U.S. veterans.

Rotarian Kathleen Cresswell, retired Commander from the U.S. Navy will give us a moving presentation on Veterans Day celebrated this week on Friday, November 11.
