  • City of Casselberry Paramedic/Firefighter Theresa Krebs receives Karcher Award
    City of Casselberry City Hall

The Rotary Club of Casselberry honors Paramedic/Firefighter Theresa Krebs with the club's highest "Service Above Self" Karcher Award at the City of Casselberry's City Hall today.
As noted by her supervisor Lieutenant Andy Thompson "Theresa is a Firefighter/Paramedic with a can-do attitude. Whether its 3:00 pm or 3:00 am she always has a smile on her face and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. This seems to give the patient the feeling it's going to the OK now."
Off the job, Lieutenant Thompson says: "she spends much time caring for the needs of firefighters and their families in times of tribulation such as illness or death by providing food, transportation or at times just a listening ear."
A tribute to the memory of Police Chief George Karcher and past president of our club, Theresa exemplifies his work and dedication to others.

An appeal to Rotarians in the District...
    Bahamian children

On Friday, November 3 the Rotarians from districts 6980 and 6930 who will be participating in the cruise conference will arrive in Nassau, Bahamas.
As part of our multi-district Conference Cruise we will be working together to distribute much needed supplies to underprivileged students and/or their parents.
We have asked the Rotarians in the Bahamas for a wish list of items needed and they have come back with the following:
    Backpacks
    - new or slightly used to include: pencils, pen, composition paper, eraser, sharpener, ruler, calculator, pocket folders (duo-tangs), crayons, notebook paper, etc.
    Hygiene kits
to include: Dental floss, mouth wash, tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, hand or bath towel, body lotion, underarm deodorant (pack in a gallon zip-lock bag).
Can you donate either or both of these items?
Denise and Carlos will bring these in a separate luggage on the cruise. Please call Carlos at 407-376- 5368 to arrange delivery.

Jim Berko thanks members who supported the walk...

"A heart felt thank you to the Rotarians who donated to our very successful WALK on 10/8 th at the Wekiva Trail/Softball complex."
"Twelve (12) Rotarians gave different amounts coming to 500 $ which will go directly to clients' fund for treatment services."
    Jim Berko
