  • This week's presenter: Debby Torres with the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole
    Debby Torres

Debby Torres is the Director of Community Affairs with the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole, a not- for-profit organization which provides child care subsidies for the children of low income working parents.

The Coalition also serves the community by providing child care resource and referral services and overseeing the voter-mandated Voluntary Prekindergarten program (VPK).

Ms. Torres will present on the importance of a quality early education experience, it’s impact on our community as a whole and the steps we can all take to ensure that every child has the good beginnings necessary to enter kindergarten ready and eager to learn.

The Auction was a resounding success...
Auction - Mickey the Bear resurfaces

Mickey the Bear resurfaces at the auction - Tom bought him back.
Auctioneer Gary donned the Santa hat last week and raked with the help of Santa helper - Bill, a whopping $1,400 for the club's Foundation treasury.

There were over forty wrapped gifts brought in by the members.
Typical for this annual club event, club members were generous and the laughter was plentiful.
Tom was the lucky buyer (or was it a ransom?) of our club's mascot Mickey the Bear which had disappeared the day our District Governor visited in August.
