  • President Al hosts four potential members at Fireside Chat

    President Al conducted a terrific fireside chat last Thursday, March 15 at his office.
    In attendance were Robin Dehlinger, principal of South Seminole Middle School (sponsored by Beth who was present); Roslyn Thompson, owner of New Hope Chiropractic (sponsored by Lloyd); Gordon Threlkeld, owner of JGT Services a computer networking company (sponsored by Lloyd) and Joe Pires, financial consultant/owner of National Accounting & Management Services (sponsored by Carlos - also present).
    All potential members completed the application which will be submitted for board approval.


    Club visits --- Rotary Shares

    In the spirit of our next year's Rotary theme - Rotary Shares, next week our club members will be visiting clubs in the nearby areas.
    To-date, there are twenty five club members registered to make club visits.
    If you have not signed up yet, Wednesday will be the last day to sign up. Carlos will be announcing the visits to the clubs' presidents.
    You will be contacted by the "team captains" prior to your visit.

    • Tuesday, March 27: Maitland/Team Captain: Mike Schaffer
    • Tuesday, March 27: Longwood/Team Captain: Neill Beavers
    • Wednesday: NO MEETING!!!
    • Thursday, March 29: Altamonte Springs / Team Captain: Gary Teramae
    • Friday, March 30: Winter Springs / Team Captains: Ernie Glass & Kathleen Cresswell

    This is a chance for all of us to enjoy the fellowship of Rotarians, find out what projects they are working on, get ideas we can bring back to our club, give us an opportunity to announce the International Folk Festival and Take a Kid Fishin', give everyone an invitation to visit us and simply have some fun while doing it.
    PLEASE NOTE....THERE WILL BE NO MEETING AT ROLANDO'S NEXT WEEK!

    Mark your calendars: April 29 --- Sunday at Secret Lake Park -- starting at 1 p.m.
    We plan to have lots of fun --- The Rotary Club of Longwood has accepted our invitation to join us on this day.
    Bring your family, friends, co-workers. There will be lots of activities planned to keep us busy, entertained and laughing. More news to come.

  • Wednesday, June 27: Installation banquet at Dubsdread - 6 p.m. cocktails/7 p.m. dinner
