Neta Villalobos-Bell will be speaking on behalf of Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program. Amanda Mattison is speaking on behalf of Seminole County's Watershed Action Volunteer Program.
Neta Villalobos-Bell is the Seminole County contact for the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program. Florida Yards & Neighborhoods (FYN) is an environmental educational program of the University of Florida Extension informing homeowners of how they can be more environmentally friendly with their landscape practices, helping to protect Florida's natural environment for future generations. Amanda Mattison is the Watershed Action Volunteer Program coordinator for Seminole County. WAV is a partnership between Seminole County Roads - Stormwater Division and the St. Johns River Water Management District which serves to engage community members in caring for their watershed through education and action. Linda Johnson and Vicki Helmick are ready to collect your business ad or recognition block and money this week.
Any club member that has participated with an ad the 2007 calendar is encouraged to renew participation for the 2008 calendar now. You should have received your sign-up sheet already. Anyone who has not yet participated, this is the time to get involved!
As soon as we get all the renewals in from last calendar's participants, Linda and Vicki need to bring in new ads from the community. Can you help by providing a referral for an ad? Bring your referrals and checks to Linda or Vicki tomorrow!

Walt is selling entertainment books for $25. This is a huge fundraiser for our club so please show your support and help him empty his trunk and garage!

| Project Updates: Coalition, Safehouse & Rampage |
|
Coalition for the Homeless: Friday, October 12th is the set date. 8-10 volunteers are needed. Keep on the lookout for a sign up sheet or talk to Ben if you want to be apart of this rewarding project.
Safehouse: Different ways to get involved: Sponsorship and helping to build the shed. Stay tuned for upcoming confirmed dates to help with this project.
Rampage: Stay tuned for dates for building a ramp with Center for Independant Living.
