    George Karcher Award Nomination

Each year our club honors a person who has demonstrated the exemplary traits of professionalism, courtesy, youth rapport, positive attitude and unselfish contribution of service by a public safety officer. Candidates will have demonstrated a belief in "Service above Self" and serve predominately the Casselberry area residents and businesses.

Nominations may be made by local government officials, citizens, or employers in the public service sector. Nominations should be made using the nomination form. This form can be downloaded from our website. You may also request a form via email from Joe Pires. Nominations will be accepted until 12:00 PM October 22nd.

The recipient will receive plaque and public recognition of his or her accomplishments. Besides public recognition, the award designee is bestowed the honor of naming a local charity to which a monetary contribution of $250 is made by our club in the award recipient's name.

The award will be presented on November 7th in the Commissions Chamber of the Casselberry City hall at a special breakfast meeting.

    Thank you's from the Community:
    Thank you

For the next couple of weeks, this corner will be dedicated to Thank you notes the community has sent us for the service and donations of our club.
    From Casselberry Elementary School:
Thank you so much for your generous donation to our school. We will use the funds to purchase Wal-Mart gift cards for our needy families to use when they can't find what they need in our food pantry and clothes closet.
Rotary has been very generous to us and we are extremely grateful. We have been able to take our children fishing, purchase food for the pantry, purchase gas and clothes cards for our needy. Without your support, we wouldn't be able to offer nearly as much to those in need. Thank you for helping us promote healthy families in our community and a positive learning experience in our school.
