ROTARIAN TO ROTARIAN BUSINESS DIRECTORY WILL ROLLOUT AT THE DISTRICT CLUB LEADERSHIP TRAINING ASSEMBLY
On May 31, 2008 attendees to the Club Leadership Training Assembly which will be held at the Student Union building of the University of Central Florida will receive for free the district's first Rotarian to Rotarian Business Directory (R2R Business Directory).
"The thrust behind the concept is giving Rotarians in the district a simple to read and handy source of information of Rotarian professionals and Rotarian- owned businesses in the five county areas," stated Governor-Elect (DGE) Carlos Giraldo who is heading the project. "We all feel more comfortable using the services of fellow Rotarians who follow the ethical standards of the Four Way Test."
Rotarian members in the district who are interested in participating will have an opportunity of creating an ad through a web site in just a few steps. The R2R Business Directory will be printed on an easy to carry 4" x 9" pocket folder format. The directory will only carry text advertisements (maximum of 320 characters or approximately 50 words) of Rotarian members of the clubs in District 6980.
Rotarians can go online at http://www.rotariantorotarian.biz and reserve an ad space. The price is $35 per text ad (maximum of three per member). All ads reserved and paid before February 28, 2008 will receive a $10 per ad discount. No ads will be accepted after March 31, 2008.

Rotary International Club assists Salvation Army Kettle Campaign
CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA
The Casselberry residents generously helped their local Rotary Club set a record in daily donation.
The Rotary Club of Casselberry attended the Salvation Army Kettle outside the Sam's facility at S.R. 436 in Casselberry on Saturday, November 24 and collected over $530 toward the Salvation Army 2007 Kettle Campaign. The 2007 collection was the most collected by the club which participates in this annual program. Though generous donations by area residents, the amount collected this year exceeded last year's contributions by over 60%. All of the money collected goes directly to the Salvation Army programs that help hundreds of families and children experience a joyful Christmas.
Rotary International Clubs are proud to be associated with Salvation Army whose services continue year- round, because they are committed to Doing the Most Good for those in need.

Rotary Mottos:
The first motto of RI was He Profits Most Who Serves Best was approved in 1911 at the 2nd rotary convention. This phrase was first started by Art Sheldon in a speech in 1910. At around the same time, Ben Collins, a club president, came up with the motto--Service, Not Self. These two slogans, slightly modified, were formally approved to by the official mottos in 1950. In 1989, the Council on Legislation established Service Above Self as the principle motto of Rotary, since it best explains the philosophy of unselfish volunteer service.
